1. the question isn't, "am I alone?" but, rather, "are we ever not alone?"


2. The fundamental problem with the Joycean epiphany is that it is traditionally the point in which a character realizes s/he is different from everyone else. The true point of revelation comes to a character when s/he realizes that s/he is the same as everyone else.
